Smart Marina

The aim of this project was to increase the standard of marinas in the Baltic Sea, renovate and modernise these harbours in an environmentally friendly way, make these harbours more cost-effective and give them a higher profile international. Fejan’s guest harbour is the Archipelago Foundation’s contribution to the project.

The project is finished and ran between 2018-2021.

Fejan is in the outer skerries, strategically close to the large shipping lane to Åland. It is a popular first or last harbour on the way to or from Sweden.

In the Smart Marina project, we have installed a new floating pier and a new breakwater pier which, together with an older pier, now forms a harbor basin. The harbor on Fejan can now provide protection from all winds. The piers have been equipped with new mooring lines and electrical hook ups.
